Former Maine Man Sought for Market Basket Robbery
Portsmouth Police have issued an arrest warrant for Gerald Bickford after he was arrested in Nevada for bank robbery.
It took them a month but detectives inside the Portsmouth Police Department believe that know who is responsible for robbing the Market Basket in Portsmouth last month after the alleged suspect was arrested in Nevada last week.
According to a press statement, detectives have issued an arrest warrant for Gerald Bickford, 35, currently being held in Nevada on a bank robbery charge.
Bickford was arrested in Las Vegas, NV, on March 5, after robbing a bank in Boulder City, NV, and reportedly leading police on a high-speed pursuit in a maroon Dodge Charger, similar to the one identified in the Market Basket robbery on Feb. 2. The Charger had a Maine license plate, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.
