Kittery Woman with Menacing Dog Charged with Assaults

Portsmouth Police Log: Bickering fishermen argue on Pierce Island, man arrested for assaulting wife, and student refuses to go to school.

Brendan J. Mason, 44, of Wedgewood Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 19, 2015, for domestic violence-simple assault and domestic violence-criminal threatening. Police were sent to the home for a woman alleging that her husband told her that if she kept running her mouth, he was going to punch her, according to a report. He then left the residence and went to the hospital, according to the woman. Police later heard from hospital staff and the man, Mason, was taken in to custody.

Portia E. Bick, 25, of Middle Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 1:09 p.m. on Nov. 19, on a bench warrant. Bick was arrested at home.

At 7:41 a.m. on Nov. 20, the Portsmouth School Resource Officer was sent to Willard Avenue for a student refusing to go to school. The SRO then drove the student to school.

Rolinda J. Desjardins, 46, pictured, of Dana Avenue in Kittery, ME, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. on Nov. 23, on two counts of simple assault, default or breach of bail conditions, and dog a menace ordinance. Her pitbull allegedly bit someone during the fight, according to press reports. Desjardins was wanted in court and was taken in to custody at the police station.

At 2:14 a.m. on Nov. 24, police were sent to a disturbance on Pierce Island reportedly between fishermen about the placement of a boat. The caller reportedly had a verbal altercation with two other men. They were told to take up their issues with the proper authorities and to stay away from each other for the rest of the night.
