Atkinson Woman Arrested On DWI, Other Charges After Salem Crash
Kaitlyn Reardon was accused of coughing on cops after being arrested on a second drunken driving charge as well other charges after a crash.
SALEM, NH — A rollover accident in Salem led to a woman being arrested on another drunken driving charge as well as other charges Saturday — as well as accusations that she coughed on police officers during the booking process. Officers were sent to a crash around 8 p.m. at Providence Hill Road and Shannon Road. When they arrived, according to Deputy Police Chief Joel Dolan, they found a Dodge Nitro rolled over and resting on its roof.
Inside the vehicle, police found Kaitlyn Reardon, 25, of Atkinson, as well as a girl. The girl was taken to Parkland Medical Center and later, released to family members.
"As officers spoke with Reardon, she allegedly exhibited signs of impairment and was taken into custody for driving under the influence," Dolan said. "As she was being transported to the Salem Police Department, she removed her handcuffs in the cruiser, and when she entered the Salem Police station, she allegedly coughed in the face of the arresting officer and the shift commander while refusing to wear a face mask."
