Hampton Woman Fired Gun Into Ex’s Front Door, Indictment Says: Roundup
Chester felon accused of possessing knife, gun, driving recklessly; Derry man indicted on hammer threat charge; Salem burglary indictment.

BRENTWOOD, NH — A Rockingham County grand jury indicted the following people recently.
Nicholas Dana Bourgoin, 33, of Green Street in Methuen, Massachusetts, on theft by unauthorized taking, a felony due to two prior convictions, and felony bail jumping charges. The theft charge was connected to an incident at Walmart in Salem on May 24 while the bail was connected to a failure to appear in Salem District Court on a willful concealment charge on July 8.
Storm Bradford, 32, of Montevideo Way in San Rafael, California, on felony possession of cocaine, aggravated driving under the influence-0.16-plus, and DUI charges on June 28 in Epping.

Jamie L. Cahill, 42, of Cherry Street in Quincy, MA, on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge on March 13 in Seabrook.
Jason David Canfield Jr., 32, of Fremont Road in Chester, on reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, falsifying physical evidence, and two felon in possession of a deadly weapon charges, all felonies. He possessed a 9 mm handgun and a fixed-blade knife, drove 90 mph in a 30 mph zone where pedestrians and motorists were present, and threw the gun from the vehicles to impair an investigation in Derry on July 9, according to the indictments. Canfield is a felon due to a drug conviction in Rockingham County in June 2018.

Alec E. Chambers, 40, of South Avenue in Derry, on domestic violence-criminal threatening and two criminal threatening charges. He was accused of pushing an intimate or household partner down and holding a hammer over their head in a threatening manner and accused of walking toward two others with the hammer and saying words to the effect of, “I’m going to fucking kill you,” on Aug. 10 in Derry.
Steven A. Matthis, 44, of Ireson Street in Saugus, MA, on a felony accomplice theft by unauthorized taking charge. He aided or attempted to aid Holly Strobel in stealing more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from CVS in Plaistow on May 5, according to an indictment.
Joshua Paul Mazza, 33, of Henderson Circle in Salem, on a felony possession of fentanyl charge in Derry on April 26. Previously, he was convicted of one or more prior offenses, according to the indictment.
Erin McCarthy, 38, of Winnacunnet Road in Hampton, on a felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon charge. She was accused of firing a handgun into the front door of another person’s apartment on July 19 in Hampton. Sarah L. McGrade, 40, of Paget Drive in Hudson, on possession of methamphetamine, possession of buprenorphine, possession of diazepam, and possession of clonazepam charges, all felonies, and a DUI charge, in the parking lot of The Art of Lashes in Salem on April 3.
Nickayle Lee Merchant, 29, of West Bow Street in Franklin, incarcerated at the time of the indictment, on burglary and two theft charges, all felonies. He was accused of burglarizing R&J BP Station in Salem on Aug. 10, 2021, and stealing more than $1,500 worth of cigarettes. Twice before, Merchant has been convicted on theft charges.
