2 Tornadoes, 109 MPH Gusts, 937K Powerless: Isaias' Wrath On NJ
Tuesday's storm brought tornadoes, high winds, and thousands of power outages. Here's the full scope of Isaias' wrath on New Jersey.

NEW JERSEY — Tropical Storm Isaias forged a destructive path through the region Tuesday, causing flooding, widespread power outages, tornadoes and more.
The storm delivered a walloping to much of the state. Here's a look at some of the impacts:
POWER OUTAGES

More than 937,000 New Jerseyans woke up to no power on Wednesday — and it may be days until service is restored to all residents.
JCP&L, which had crews working through the night, said residents can expect a"multi-day restoration effort." More than 60 percent of its customers were without service at the peak of the outages. As of Wednesday morning, more than 563,000 remained without power.

PSE&G still had more than 304,000 customers without power Wednesday morning, down from 452,000 the day before. That company estimates it will be Monday before power is fully restored to many of its customers. Here's a look at the outages by town.

TORNADOES/WIND
The National Weather Service has confirmed there were two tornadoes in New Jersey Tuesday. They were two of six tornadoes in the region as a result of Tropical Storm Isaias.
Officials reported gusts peaking at 109 mph on LBI, and the National Weather Service spotted a tornado in Barnegat. The tornado destroyed the Surflight Theatre's outdoor venue on the day of "Mamma Mia" was set to open. Meanwhile, the community has launched an online fundraiser to support the nonprofit theater as they attempt to rebuild.
A second tornado was confirmed in the Ocean City area of Cape May County.
ROAD CLOSURES/TRAVEL
Downed trees and wire prompted the closure of many roadways. In Burlington County alone, there were 24 closures.
In Middletown Township, downed trees blocked Navesink River Road and Kings Highway was blocked in both directions due to fallen trees.
In Hoboken, 35 blocks were closed due to downed trees, power lines, and wires. Four parks were closed as a result and driving was banned until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
In Westfield, some streets were completely impassible due to downed wires, trees, and other problems. Several streets in nearby Cranford were also closed.
Additionally, dozens of flights were canceled at Newark Airport due to the storm.
