1. New Jersey will be the only state unable to feast on a $5 million promotion from Taco Bell, thanks to a trademark dispute over the term "Taco Tuesday." The company will partner with DoorDash on Sept. 12 to reimburse Mexican food fans, whether or not they eat at Taco Bell...everywhere but here. (Read more on Patch.)

2. A Union County woman filed a lawsuit against a Point Pleasant Beach bar, saying she fell and injured herself because bar staff served her too much alcohol. The woman is seeking $1 million in damages for unspecified injuries she suffered in the fall, which she said happened at the bar on July 14, 2022. (Read more on Patch.)
3. Breathing in air that has been polluted by wildfires can be as harmful to your health as inhaling secondhand smoke, according to scientists at Rutgers University. Rutgers scientists have been taking a look at “possible toxicological health effects” of the Canadian wildfires that sharply impacted air quality in New Jersey in early June. (Read more on Patch.)

4. Officials said a plane crashed at a small airport while the pilot was trying to land on Wednesday morning. Authorities found the plane, a single-engine Cessna, disabled on Airpark Road at the entrance to the Princeton Airport. (Read more on Patch.)
5. Two Republican Senators said they will introduce legislation to repeal new Board of Education policies that deal with gender identity and sexual education in New Jersey schools. Some top Democratic legislators have distanced themselves from the rules, as well. (Read more on Patch.)
