Thunderstorms In NJ Forecast: See When, Where
The Garden State is in store for more thunderstorms on Wednesday throughout the day. Here's what to expect.
NEW JERSEY - Wednesday morning commuters will be facing a slippery journey in New Jersey complete with thunderstorms, forecasters say.
The initial round of showers, which began overnight in the Garden State, will move northeast through the region early this morning, according to the National Weather Service.

There’s a chance for more rounds of showers and scattered thunderstorms this afternoon between 3 and 9 p.m. as well, the agency said, with the highest likelihood of additional storms along and east of the I-95 corridor. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, although higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
Some fog may also occur near coastal areas, the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures should hover around the mid-70s today, with the mercury expected to drop back into the mid 40s to low- to mid-50s tonight, National Weather Service meteorologists said in a forecast discussion.
Thursday should be the best weather day for the state this week, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 70 degrees. Rain will likely return to New Jersey on Friday with more possible thunderstorms.

Wednesday: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 75. East wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 7 and 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. North wind around 5 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday: Rain likely, mainly after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Light east wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Friday Night: Rain, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 a.m. Low around 50.
