Turnpike Crash, NJ Highway Sinkhole, Delays: Patch PM Traffic Digest

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 4:38 p.m., there are delays and pockets of volume on the Garden State Parkway northbound from North of Exit 142 - I-78 in Hillside Twp to Exit 145 - I-280 in East Orange. All lanes 4-mile delay, due to volume.

As of 4:11 p.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound North of Interchange 13 - I-278/Goethals Bridge in Elizabeth. 1 left lane blocked.

As of 4:11 p.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike - Western Spur northbound Interchange 15W - I-280 in Kearny. Right shoulder blocked.

Central Jersey

As of 4:17 p.m., there are delays and an unspecified earlier incident on NJ 31 northbound from South of CR 513/West Main St in Clinton Twp to Cregar Rd in Lebanon Twp. All lanes open.

As of 4:05pm, there are delays on US 9 northbound from NJ 70 in Toms River Twp to CR 528/Central Ave in Lakewood Twp. Current travel time is 15-20 minutes.

South Jersey

As of 4:54 p.m., there's emergency construction and a Sinkhole on US 30 westbound East of CR 702/Berlin Av in Stratford. 1 right lane closed. 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

As of 4:30 p.m., there's a crash on I-295 southbound South of Exit 18 - CR 667 in Paulsboro. Left shoulder closed, use caution.

Transit Updates

Main/Bergen/Port Jervis Line train #1215, the 4:30 p.m. arrival into Waldwick, is up to 15 minutes late, held for connection with train #3855.

Raritan Valley Line train #5444, the 4:08 p.m. departure from Raritan, is canceled due to mechanical issues. Take train #5746, the 5:21 p.m. departure from Raritan.

Pansack Valley train #1621, the 4:06 p.m. arrival into Spring Valley, is up to 15 minutes late due to earlier congestion.

Northeast Corridor Line train #3855, the 3:30 p.m. departure from PSNY, is up to 15 minutes late due to earlier mechanical issues.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.
