BARNEGAT, NJ — A Barnegat Township Police Department K-9 has been fitted with a new bullet and stab protection vest thanks to a donation from a non-profit.
Vested Interest in K9s donated the vest to the K-9 Tracker, police said. The vest is embroidered with “In memory of K9 Relic, Avon-by-the-Sea, NJ, EOW 2/3/22,” according to police.
"This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and NIJ certified," Barnegat police said.
