Waterway Closure To Last Until Next Weekend In Beach Haven West

STAFFORD, NJ — A temporary bypass pump placed in the Beach Haven West section of the township to fix a damaged sewer line will be in place until Sept. 24, Stafford police said.

Stafford Water & Sewer, P & A Construction and KMETZ Directional Drilling are working to fix the line after it was damaged by a construction crew.

Boat traffic near Harry Drive will be impassible until the line is fixed, police said.

"We all understand the frustration of this but there are currently no other options available," police said. "Please remain patient with the crews working. The job will continue 24/7 until it is repaired."
