Woman Saved By Boyfriend After Being Caught In Rip Current
Woman was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Saturday, Prosecutor's Office says.

If you're planning on swimming on Sunday on Long Beach Island, please do it on a guarded beach.
A woman who was caught in a rip current in Beach Haven on Saturday had to be taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, a spokesman from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.
Details were unavailable Saturday night, but the woman was pulled from the water by her boyfriend, said spokesman Al Della Fave.

Beach Haven dispatchers said they were not "at liberty" to release any information.
But apparently Saturday was a rough day for rip currents up and down the island. The Harvey Cedars Beach Patrol had lifeguards on duty on Saturday and after-hours patrols after 5 p.m.

"Except for our after hours patrol unit(s), lifeguards go off duty at 5 p.m.," according to the beach patrol's Facebook page on Saturday. "Ocean conditions are quite rough today. Dangerous rips, high tide approaching & larger sets of waves. We always urge people to stay out of the water once guards leave!"
The National Weather Service said earlier today that the rip current risk was low, but that rips could form in some areas.
