Delayed Opening For Basking Ridge Schools Due To Snow
An impending snowstorm has caused the delayed opening on Tuesday.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — All Bernards Township Schools will be on a 2-hour delayed opening schedule on Tuesday due to the impending snowstorm.
Ridge High will begin at 9:35 a.m. and William Annin will begin at 9:45 a.m. and all elementary schools will begin at 10:45 a.m.
The buses are on a 2-hour delay. There is no before care and lunch will only be served at the high school.

Students at all other schools are encouraged to bring snacks.
If weather and road conditions do not improve, it may seem wise to close schools for the day. If this occurs, the district will send out an updated message.

The most recent models show five to eight inches of wet snow possible in the interior portions of northeastern New Jersey, with the highest amounts falling north and west of I-287.

Monday night: Rain and sleet before 10 p.m., then rain, snow, and sleet between 10 p.m. and midnight, then rain after midnight. Low around 34. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.
Tuesday: A chance of rain before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
