Officials say soaring group insurance costs are driving spending, while a previously approved school budget will also raise the school portion of Belleville property taxes this year.

• Belleville Has Them. Montclair Is Next: Parking Ticket Cameras Expand in N.J. (montclairlocal.news) — Belleville drivers should be aware that automated SafetyStick parking ticket cameras already monitor intersections like Union Avenue and Greylock Parkway, issuing tickets after a short grace period. Police say the system improves safety and plan to expand it to more problem spots, while other New Jersey towns, including Montclair, weigh similar technology and debate privacy concerns.
