• Major N.J. financial services giant cuts more jobs as layoffs climb above 200 (nj.com subscription) — Fiserv Solutions is cutting another 98 jobs at its Berkeley Heights facility, bringing this year's total local layoffs to 216 positions. The financial technology company filed notice with the state that the latest cuts took effect September 11, following an earlier round of 118 layoffs scheduled between March 31 and May 31.
   

• Berkeley Heights Council to Consider Police Department Expansion, Wastewater Plant Upgrades at Sept. 15 Meeting (tapinto.net) — Tonight's Berkeley Heights Township Council meeting could reshape local policing and traffic, with a vote on adding a deputy chief, more officers, and new turning rules on Valley Road. Council will also weigh major wastewater plant upgrades and approve street closures for Hotrods on Hamilton, Winter Walk, and neighborhood events that will affect driving and parking around town.
   

• Sierra Isbirian sets a new Gov. Livingston volleyball record while leading the Highlanders with poise, positivity and determination (tapinto.net) — A Gov. Livingston senior from Berkeley Heights has become the school's all-time assists leader in volleyball, reaching 711 during a win over Madison. Her coaches praise her relentless work ethic and positive leadership, which they say are driving the Highlanders' strong start and inspiring younger players across the local program.
