BERKELEY, N.J. — Two Berkeley residents were busted Tuesday for distributing marijuana and THC vaping cartridges, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced. Officials seized over five pounds of weed, about 225 cartridges, an unnamed quantity of psilocybin mushrooms and approximately $18,000 in cash, the OCPO said.

Aryn Nemati, 25, and Heather Alexander, 22, were arrested in the drug bust, the OCPO said. Authorities executed a no-knock search warrant after determining the home was used to sore and distribute marijuana and THC cartridges, according to the OCPO.

Nemati is in Ocean County jail pending a detention hearing, officials said. Alexander was released on a summons pending a future court date, according to the OCPO.

According to their charges, they possessed between one half ounce and five ounces of mushrooms.

Detectives from the OCPO's Narcotics Strike Force, the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, the Berkeley police and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit.
