Beachwood Police Awarded For Saving Woman's Life
Four Beachwood officers saved the life of an individual with an obstructed airway.

BEACHWOOD, NJ — Four Beachwood officers were awarded Wednesday for saving a life. The officers saved a female resident who had an obstructed airway.
Beachwood police received a 911 call. The individual was turning blue. The officers arrived and performed life-saving measures.
Police Chief Robert Tapp gave Lieutenant Frank Melillo, TSO Dennis Allen, TSO Chad Anthony, and Patrolman William Manganiello the honorable service award at Beachwood's mayor and council meeting.

Tapp also gave School Resource Officer Adam O'Connor with an exceptional service award. O'Connor is set to retire at the end of the month following many years of service to schools and DARE education.
Beachwood also swore in a new officer, Michael Evanowski, who was standing with family for his appointment. Evanowski joins the patrol division after his assignment to the field training unit.
