Berkeley PD Shows Support For Wounded Houston Cops

Four Houston officers were shot executing a search warrant Monday evening, according to police.

Berkeley police expressed thoughts and prayers for the Houston Police Department. Four Houston officers were shot and another was injured scrambling for cover in the shootout Monday, according to officials.

"This is yet another reminder of the dangers of Police work and we keep our fellow officers and their families close in our hearts," Berkeley Township Police Department wrote on Facebook.

The officers were wounded while serving a search warrant, police said. Police received several tips from residents of black tar heroin being sold, according the Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo. Two suspects were killed in the shootout, he said.
