Biker Injured After Crash With Vehicle In Berkeley: Police
The biker is in stable condition, police said.
BERKELEY, NJ — A bicyclist was injured after colliding with a vehicle Saturday in Berkeley, police said. The bicyclist, a 60-year-old woman from Toms River, is in stable condition, according to authorities.
The accident took place at about 3:54 p.m. around Davenport Road and Portsmouth Drive, police said. The driver — a 92-year-old man from Toms River — was traveling west on Davenport when his vehicle hit the bicyclist, police said.
The bicyclist was traveling the same direction when she suddenly swerved into the road from the shoulder and was struck, according to the driver and witness statements. The woman was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
