Careless Driver Causes Crash By Berkeley's New 7-Eleven: Police

The crash took place about 20 minutes before the 7-Eleven's grand opening.

BERKELEY, NJ — A driver ran a red light and caused a two-vehicle crash Tuesday by Berkeley's new 7-Eleven, police said. The crash took place at 10:38 a.m. — 22 minutes before the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The crash occurred in the intersection of Forest Hills Parkway and Grand Central Parkway, police said. Robert Hill, of Forked River, travelled east on Forest Hills Parkway. The other vehicle drove south on Grand Central toward the Central Regional entrance.

Hill ran the red light and collided with the other vehicle, whose occupant(s) wasn't publicly identified, police said. No injuries were reported, but both vehicles sustained damage and were towed away, police said.
