Eight township residents will vie for the three available terms on the Berkeley Township Board of Education, according to the Ocean County Clerk’s Office.
Current board member James Fulcomer - often the lone dissenting voice on the board - has decided not to seek re-election. Fulcomer ran in 2011 on a platform that called for more shared services with Central Regional and holding the line on expenses.

His former running mate and current Board President Noriko Kowalewski, 14 Seagull Court, Bayville, has filed for another term. Also running is former board member Robert Martino, 54 Woodstock Drive, Bayville.
The other candidates include Christine Dwight, 15 Jeannette Street, Bayville, Thomas Guarascio, 17 Grouse Drive, Bayville, Gerard C. Reuter, 704 Adams Avenue, Bayville, Todd A. Crouse, 4 Michelle Lane, Bayville, David Ytreboe, 153 Manhattan Avenue, Bayville and JoAnn Benson, 6 Marathon Street, Berkeley.
