Singing At The White House 'Thrill Of A Lifetime' For Central Regional Choirs
Next step - Harvard University and Old North Church in Boston.
It wasn’t your ordinary singing gig.
The process began back in September, when Central Regional High School Choirs Director Beth Moore submitted an application for the students to perform at the White House Holiday Tour.
Moore got the good news in November that Central Regional had been chosen out of applications from all over the United States. And last Thursday, the ”thrill of a lifetime” came true, when the group sang at the White House.

“We are so excited and humbled that they chose us to participate,“ Moore said. “It’s such an honor to represent The Central Regional School District and Berkeley Township in this way.”
The choirs usually perform standard fare, singing at football and basketball games, concerts, musicals, and community events in Berkeley Township.

But in the past few years, they have performed at Carnegie Hall, St. John the Divine, St. Mary’s of Times Square, Trinity Wall Street, and Radio City Music Hall. They’ve traveled to The Ryman in Nashville and Walt Disney World, Moore said.
The Chamber Choir won the WOBM Christmas Choir competition in 2014. This spring, they will head up to Boston to sing at the Old North Church and Harvard University, she said.
“Singing at The White House is certainly something we will never forget,“ Moore said.
