Stories and Traditions - Valentine's Day in the Victorian Era
Presented by "The Ladies of History"
History doesn't have to be boring!
We invite the public to a free program on February 10th at 1:00pm in the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church Sanctuary, as we meet Eliza Blackwell Dupree, a lady of the 19th century, who will regale us with the stories and traditions surrounding St. Valentine’s Day in the Victorian Era. The presenter, Alisa Dupuy, began The Ladies of History in 2006. This labor of love grew out of a desire to study history, highlight the contributions that women have made in history, and wear the fashions of different eras, while bringing history to life in a lively and fun way.
