• Chatham Superintendent Presents $54 Million Referendum for January Ballot; Includes 2nd Turf Field at Cougar, New Field House (tapinto.net) — Chatham school leaders are advancing a $54 million capital referendum for January 2027 that would upgrade facilities, add a second turf field at Cougar, and expand Lafayette School classrooms. The same Board of Education meeting also confirmed three members running unopposed and detailed a new state-mandated cell phone ban that will bar Chatham High students from using phones all day, including lunch.
