Owner Of Dog In Cherry Hill Attack Against Puppy Violated Ordinances: Police

The attack left the "puppy torn to shreds," residents have previously said.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A Cherry Hill woman whose dog attacked another was charged Thursday with violating several township ordinances and a state statute, according to police.

The attacking dog had left a puppy in the township's Windsor Mews section last month, leaving the "puppy torn to shreds," residents said.

Jasmine Rodarte of Cherry Hill was charged with violating the township's disturbing the peace and injury to another domestic animal, according to authorities. She was also charged with violating the New Jersey state statute on having a potentially dangerous dog, according to authorities.

The attacking dog was euthanized, authorities said.

The attack left the injured dog with two broken legs, according to a GoFundMe account set up by the injured dog's owner.
