Cinnaminson Boys Soccer Team Falls in South Jersey Coaches Tournament

Cherokee defeated Cinnaminson in the semifinals, according to nj.com.

The Cinnaminson High School boys soccer team narrowly missed out on a spot in the South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association tournament last week.

The seventh-seeded Pirates fell to No. 3 Cherokee, 3-2 in overtime, in the semifinals, according to nj.com.

Pat McCarthy and Steve Kalbach each had a goal for Cinnaminson, which trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Cinnaminson advanced to the semifinals following a 1-0 win over No. 15 Moorestown in the second round, according to nj.com.

McCarthy scored a goal in the second half off an assist from Matt Ochman in that game.

Kalbach scored both of the Pirates’ goals in their first round win over Shawnee. Cinnaminson won that game by a tally of 2-0.

Cinnaminson is 13-4-1 this season.
