Despite its first loss of the season, the Cinnaminson High School football team maintained its third place position in the Central Jersey Group II power points standings, posted Monday on nj.com.
The Pirates fell to 4-1 on the season following Friday night’s 62-29 defeat at the hands of Holy Cross.
However, when the standings were posted on Monday, Cinnaminson remained in third place with 48 points, two points behind both Delaware Valley (4-1, 50 points) and Roselle (3-2 50 points).

The top eight teams in each group after the first eight games of the season qualify for the playoffs. Only a team’s seven best wins of their first eight games count toward qualifying for the playoffs.
Power points are calculated based on the size of the schools a team has defeated, and the number of wins that team has.
