Controversial Burger King Proposal Receives Final Approval From Cinnaminson Planning Board

The planning board approved the proposal with changes.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- The Planning Board has given final approval to a controversial project to build a Burger King in a residential area, but with some changes to the original plan, the Cinnaminson Sun reports.

The most notable change comes in the number of hours the fast food chain can be open, according to the report. The Burger King was to be open 24 hours a day, with the drive-thru remaining open after the restaurant closed inside, from midnight-5 a.m. Now, the restaurant will close completely during that time frame.

Other changes included moving the location of the fence, efforts to cut down on traffic and the promise to install sidewalks, if need be, according to the report.

Resident Anthony Balboni organized an effort to oppose the project in the days leading up to last month’s planning board meeting.

Residents were concerned about quality of life, safety, increased traffic, loitering and home values.
