Crime Up Just Over 6 Percent in Cinnaminson in 2014
Crime in Cinnaminson is up 6.2 percent from last year, according to the New Jersey State Police Uniform Crime Report.

Crime in Cinnaminson is up 6.2 percent from last year, but it was down by 10 percent in June compared to June of 2013.
Overall, there were 207 crimes reported over the first six months of this year compared to 195 last year, according to the New Jersey State Police Uniform Crime Report.
There were 17 violent crimes reported, compared with eight over the same period last year. Non-violent crime is up 7.3 percent.

The total number of sexual crimes in the township has gone up by five, but for the second consecutive year, no homicides were reported for the first six months of the year.
There were a total of five reported rapes in Cinnaminson as of June, compared with zero reported rapes at the same time in 2013. Four of those crimes are still under investigation.

Five robberies were reported, the same number as reported for the first half of last year. Two of the robberies reported so far this year involved a firearm and one involved a knife.
Total assaults are up this year, from two last year to seven this year. Five of the assaults involved a dangerous weapon, including one in which a “knife or other cutting instrument” was used.
There is a decline in simple assaults, as 13 were reported from January to June of this year, compared with 22 in 2013.
Two less burglaries were reported, with 22 of the 28 reported this year involving forcible entry. There were 30 burglaries in 2013.
There were also 147 incidents of larceny theft reported and two motor vehicle thefts. Last year, there were 132 and three, respectively.
