First Meeting On Cinnaminson Relay For Life Set For Thursday

Cinnaminson's inaugural Relay for Life is set for Sept. 30.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The first interest meeting about Cinnaminson’s inaugural townwide Relay for Life event will take place on Thursday night, June 1, 8:30 pm at Temple Sinai on New Albany Road in Cinnaminson.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about Relay for Life, helping to plan the event or starting a team should attend this event, which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30, 6 p.m.-midnight at the Cinnaminson High School track. The event chair is Cinnaminson Police Department School Resource Officer Michael Czarzasty.

“Cancer is a disease that has touched all of our lives,” said Cinnaminson Mayor Anthony Minniti, who helped organize the event. “Many residents have participated in Relay events, but often in other towns and under different organizations.”

Cinnaminson police encourage anyone who wants to learn more about the event to attend the Relay for Life Rivertowns at Delran High School on Saturday, June 3, 4 p.m. to midnight. Admission is free.

The Relay for Life Organization has set the township’s first year fundraising goal at $50,000. If the township meets its goal this year, it will be ‘endorsed’ for a second event next year.
