South Jersey Woman Beat Her Husband To Death With Fire Extinguisher, Prosecutor Says
Laciana Tinsley is accused of attacking her husband, but it wasn't clear why on Tuesday.

A Burlington County woman has been arrested for fatally beating her husband to death with a fire extinguisher, Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Willingboro Director of Public Safety Gregory Rucker said on Tuesday.
Laciana Tinsley, 42, was charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Police said Tinsley hit 74-year-old Douglas Tinsley in the head multiple times with a fire extinguisher inside the home on the first block of Hancock Lane on Monday. Douglas Tinsley was pronounced dead at the scene at about 12:30 p.m.

Laciana Tinsley was arrested at the house, and is currently being held in Burlington County Jail.
Under New Jersey’s bail law reform, which took effect Jan. 1, 2017, defendants can be held without bail until their case is adjudicated if approved by the judge overseeing the detention hearing.

A detention hearing in the case was to be scheduled soon. Her first court appearance was set for Tuesday.
It was unknown what led Laciana Tinsley to attack her husband, police said, but the Courier Postreports she was retaliating because her husband was choking her. Laciana Tinsley has three children.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
