Clark Memorial Service To Honor 9/11 Victims
One Clark resident, James Nelson, 40, died in the attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

CLARK, NJ — Clark Police will host a September 11th memorial service on Tuesday in honor of the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
One Clark resident, James Nelson, 40, who was a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey officer, died in the attacks on the World Trade Center.
Nelson was among the nearly 3,000 people who died in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon and when United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in a rural field near Shanksville in western Pennsylvania at 10:10 a.m. on Sept. 11, 2001.

"As a nation, we suffered the most horrific attack on that clear day. This attack made us to come together stronger than ever. Join us in honoring those sacrificed that day and those sacrificed during the ensuing battle against Global Terrorism," police stated.
The memorial will be held at The James Nelson Memorial Park (located at the corner of Broadway and Grand), at 8:45 a.m.
