Elizabeth Passport to Health

Open to Elizabeth Residents

Shaping Elizabeth proudly announces a new initiative for 2019 called
“Passport to Health.” Shaping Elizabeth is planning four quarterly cornerstone events to
support Elizabeth residents on their journey toward a healthier life.

The Passport to Health kick-off event is taking place at 10:30am on Saturday, February 9th,
2019 at Elizabeth Public Library, 11 South Broad Street, Elizabeth, NJ. Attendees will begin
their journey by receiving a free Health Passport. Free screenings will be offered to attendees of
all ages, including vision, blood pressure, BMI, glucose, and lead.

The themes for the kick-off event on February 9th are Heart Health and Childhood Obesity.
Dr. Amith Ahluwalia, MD, Trinitas Regional Medical Center, will present on Heart Healthy
Practices. Corey Wu-Jung, MS, RD, Shaping Elizabeth Nutrition Consultant, will present on
Preventing Childhood Obesity. Shaping Elizabeth partners will provide additional free resources.

The remaining three cornerstone events will take place on April 27, July 27, and November 9.
Shaping Elizabeth partners are also planning monthly workshops, programs, and community
events throughout the year. At each event, participants can get their Health Passports stamped.
The more stamps collected, the more chances to win helpful prizes for your journey.
