Children's Specialized Hospital presents Parenting Workshop Series

Children’s Specialized Hospital is hosting a parenting workshop series titled, “Managing Your Child’s Challenging Behavior” in Mountainside. Sessions will be held on Thursdays from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. in the auditorium at Children’s Specialized Hospital. Sessions start on Oct. 27, and continue through Nov. 3, 10, 17 and Dec. 1 and 8. A follow-up session will be held on Jan. 5, 2012. The cost is $105 and pre-registration is required. Child care is not available.

The sessions are led by a member of Children’s Specialized Hospital’s psychology department and will help parents understand the causes of misbehavior, setting limits, managing sibling conflicts, developing and implementing a reward system and offer a parent self-care and support system.
