Arts Guild New Jersey will hold “Eyes on the Arts,” our 4th Annual Gala Dinner, on Sunday, April 15th, 2012, from 3 to pm - 8 pm. It will take place at Luciano’s Italian Ristorante and Lounge, located at 1579 Main Street, Rahway, NJ 07065. “Eyes on the Arts” will bring together city representatives, artists, funders, members, and other supporters of Arts Guild New Jersey for a celebration of our successful art exhibits, art education program, and other arts events for over a decade of progress. The multi-course gala dinner is open to the public, for anyone who would like to support the arts. This fun occasion is a great opportunity to socialize and become more involved with Rahway’s flourishing local community. Proceeds from the event will benefit Arts Guild New Jersey, a non-profit organization for the arts that presents a yearly program of fine art exhibitions, art classes and workshops, and a variety of cultural events, such as lectures, seminars, and concerts.
The Gala will be returning to Luciano’s restaurant for this special event, due to the outstanding service and hospitality enjoyed during last year’s gala. The event will begin at 3 pm with a cash bar and chance to mingle with fellow gala attendees. Next, a 3-course dinner will include a Cold Antipasti served family-style at each table, followed by a salad and pasta course, a choice of Grilled Rib Eye Steak or Chicken Breast Marsala entrée, and a selection of desserts with coffee or tea. Vegetarian options are also available. Wine, beer, and softdrinks will be included with dinner. The cost of the dinner is $75.00 per person.
The ArtStar Award will be granted to an outstanding regional community member worthy of the community’s recognition and gratitude, during the gala. Local artist Marcel Truppa was last year’s esteemed honoree, and this year’s recipient will similarly have made significant contributions to Rahway, whose actions have supported and furthered the arts. Live music will be performed throughout the evening. Guest speakers will also be presented.
