The Flying Dogs of Jupiter - Crossroads

The Flying Dogs of Jupiter, founded in 1975 in Westfield, will host a CD-release show at Crossroads, 78 North Avenue, on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 7:00pm.

The show, which will feature music from the new CD “In Cecilia's Garden” will also include a multi-media show “The Flying Dogs — Past Present and Future” that will include photos of the band members, some taken from very early performances as high school students for Westfield High School dances, a 12-page color booklet, and a display of the full watercolors that decorate the Dogs’ CDs.

Al Grigg says, “Besides myself (Westfield High School 1971), other local Union County members include Ed Tristram (Cranford High School 1968), Jeff Taylor (WHS 1972) and Frank Kaiser (WHS 1970). We all still live locally and play somewhere every week in New Jersey, New York, including spring and fall street fairs right in Cranford.”

Grigg says, “We are very proud of our accomplishments and proud to be local citizens brining back to our community a small measure of happiness and joy. And we are proud that at our age, music keeps us young and vibrant — as if we were still in CHS/WHS.”
