The Hearing Society Weekly Speech/Lip Reading Class

The Hearing Society resumed weekly speech (lip) reading sessions starting Thursday, September 15 at the First Baptist Church in Westfield.

Classes meet every Thursday from September through May. Coffee and light refreshments are served.

Audiologist Dr. Anne Michele Pugliesi also provides strategies for coping with hearing loss and techniques for improved communication. Attendees also enjoy occasional social gatherings, support sessions and pot-luck luncheons throughout the year.

Anyone interested in joining the group can call 908-232-6546. The Hearing Society, a local not-for-profit organization serving people with impaired hearing, also announces that it is continuing to provide academic scholarships to area residents pursuing higher education after graduation from high school.
