Fight Stigma, Walk for Awareness
Walk/Run to Fight Stigma of Mental Illness and Addiction, sponsored by Mental Health Association in NJ in partnership with Monarch Housing

On Saturday, October 3, 2015, the Mental Health Association in New Jersey, in partnership with Monarch Housing Associates, will hold its 8th Annual Fight Stigma, Walk/Run for Awareness in Northern New Jersey at Oak Ridge Park, 136 Oak Ridge Road, Clark. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., Opening Ceremony 9:30 a.m., Certified 5K Run 9:45 and 3 mile Walk begins 10 a.m. Morning includes activities for the family, dogs are welcome. The Walk has no registration fee. $30 fee for the Run (to Sept. 30, increase to $35 on-site). Participants have the opportunity to take a stand against the stigma of mental illness and addiction, raise awareness of the importance of wellness, and can fundraise to earn prizes.
