CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — Meet Howie! He has been chosen as Clark-Garwood Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Howie is a full bred Yorkshire terrier who never fails to make you smile. Whether he is running around in circles around the dinning room table or burring his bone under your pile of clothes, he always knows how to make you laugh.

What makes Howie so special is his protective instincts. He will make sure no squirrel or rabbit will come within 25 feet of your house. Howie has been apart of the family for almost five years (his birthday is 12/12/12) and has brought us nothing but love and joy. Truly a family blessing."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
