Lower Road Remains Closed Tuesday For Repairs

LINDEN, NJ — Lower Road will remain on Tuesday closed in both directions in the area of 1601 Lower Road (Filabila Inc.) for Water Company repairs, Linden Police report.

The repairs were initially reported to be completed by Monday. (See Related: Lower Road Closed Through Monday For Repairs)

Local traffic for businesses that remain open will have limited access from Lower Road from Parkway Avenue up to the work zone. Trucks traveling in this direction will be detoured at 21st St. Traffic will not have access to Avenue C or the Rahway City Line from this direction.

Avenue C will remain open to traffic coming from Route 1 past Modells, however all traffic will be forced to turn right toward Rahway.

Traffic from Barnett Street in Rahway toward Lower Road will be detoured onto E. Lincoln Avenue.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate route if possible.
