New Dance Academy Open House This Saturday At The Garwood Family Center YMCA

NEW DANCE ACADEMY OPEN HOUSE THIS SATURDAY AT THE GARWOOD FAMILY CENTER YMCA

A newly renovated dance studio space will be unveiled at the Garwood Family Center YMCA this Saturday, September 10th from 9:15am-1:00pm. With approximately 1,700 square feet of space featuring a Marley floor, height-adjustable dance bars, mirrored walls, new lighting and a professional sound system, the new space provides an appropriate and inviting environment for all levels of dance instruction. A separate viewing area with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall provides parents and caregivers with a comfortable space in which to watch their children.

Located at 500 East Street in Garwood, experienced dance instructors will teach students of all abilities and skill levels ages 3 years through adult to embrace the art of dance in a warm and nurturing environment. Students will develop creativity and technique while becoming well-rounded and confident dancers.

The Dance Academy Open House is free and open to the community. Participants will have the opportunity to sample dance classes, take a tour and meet the dance instructors. The Open House Schedule is as follows:

9:15-9:45am - Little Movers ages 3-5 with Ms. Amanda & Ms. Amber
10:00-10:30am - Jazz/Hip Hop ages 6-8 with Ms. Isabelle
10:30-11:00am - Ballet ages 6-13 with Ms. Amber
11:15-11:45am - Musical Theater ages 6-13 with Mr. Ryan
11:45am-12:15pm - Jazz/Hip Hop ages 9-13 with Ms. Isabelle
12:30-1:00pm - Ballet/Tap/Jazz Sampler adults 16+ with Ms. Amanda
A 10-week program will begin October 16th. Classes will be offered for all ages and levels, including those with special needs. The first series of classes will include Little Movers (ages 3-4), Combo 1 Ballet and Tap (ages 4-5), Combo 2 Ballet, Tap and Jazz (ages 5-6), Ballet and Modern (ages 6-13), Jazz and Hip Hop (ages 6-13), Musical Theatre (ages 6-13) and Teen Jam (grades 5-8). Adult dance classes for those 16 years and up, will include beginner to advanced Jazz/Hip Hop, Ballet and Tap.
