Shop At Whole Foods And Help Child Advocacy Nonprofit On Thursday

5 percent of sales from Whole Foods in Clark will be donated to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Union County on Thursday.

CLARK, NJ — Whole Foods Market in Clark has selected the child advocacy nonprofit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Union County to receive 5 percent of sales next Thursday, April 6.

The natural and organic food market’s commitment supports CASA’s efforts in all 21 municipalities to address the needs of Union County children from birth to age 21 removed from home due to abuse, neglect or abandonment and placed in foster homes or residential facilities.

“We’re thrilled Whole Foods in Clark has chosen us as a beneficiary. Its work within our community is exemplary and Thursday, when CASA of Union County receives the spotlight, both organizations stand as one: for our shared community and its most vulnerable children," Executive Director Marla Higginbotham noted. "CASA staff will spend time in-store, sharing details with interested customers about the passionate and life-changing work of CASA volunteers who are like many Whole Foods customers — simply area residents with no special background in child welfare — who stepped up to make a difference for a child. Each one, can reach one.”
