On Saturday, April 25th at the Westfield Area Y Main Y Facility over 400 people came out for Healthy Kids Day to enjoy an afternoon of free, fun, engaging and creative activities promoting healthy eating, healthy habits, family activities and safe and healthy communities.
A special appearance made by “Stewie the Duck” of the Stew Leonard III Children’s Charities organization excited many children. The organization is dedicated to water safety and awareness and education, including providing swim scholarships and lifeguard training.
In addition to carnival games, arts and crafts, an inflatable obstacle course, toddler playhouse and Fun Junction, participants enjoyed the Aquaducks Synchronized Swim Show, the Overlook Hospital Teddy Bear Clinic, ambulance tours by the Westfield Rescue Squad, Camp Open House, Fitness Challenges, Westfield Area Y Flyers track and field demos and more.
