WESTFIELD AREA Y THANKS VOLUNTEERS IN HONOR OF NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK

In honor of National Volunteer Week, the Westfield Area Y is pleased to announce there were 504 individuals who donated their time and talent in 2014. The Y applauds their efforts. A special “thank you” recognition event for these individuals will be held in May.

“Volunteers are the “heart” of the Y. Whether it’s coaching a youth league, serving on a committee, giving back to the community through Togetherhood, or offering administrative or tutoring assistance, the Y volunteers are greatly appreciated. These dedicated and hard-working people helped make our community a better place to live and work through service at the Y,” states Mark Elsasser, CEO of the Westfield Area Y.

The Y provides many volunteer opportunities where your time, talents and interests can significantly contribute to our mission of developing the full potential of the individuals and families in the communities we serve. College interns are welcome, so check with your school to see if an internship at the Y will help you earn college credit!
