Still Time To Comment On 2022-2023 Collingswood School Budget

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — The Collingswood Board of Education will hold a public hearing on the 2022-2023 school budget on April 25.

The meeting in the All-Purpose Room at Zane-North School starts at 6:30 p.m.

The school district did not provide Patch with a copy of the budget prior to the meeting.

However, at least one school board meeting earlier this spring has offered some insight into the possible $47,004,338 spending plan, including the possibility of increased funds for mental health funding, school security and infrastructure development.

The school district is slated to receive $11,017,144 under Governor Murphy’s proposed budget — a 1.86 percent increase over its state aid from the previous fiscal year.

The state deadline for the final adoption of the school budget is May 14.
