Thanksgiving Service at Trinity Cranford Wed. Nov 23^rd at 7:00 PM

Trinity Episcopal Church will be hosting the annual Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday November 23, 2011 at 7:00 PM. The service is sponsored by the Cranford Clergy Council and the Cranford Interfaith Human Relations Committee. 

The service is open to all residents of Cranford and the surrounding communities. “People of all faiths will be gathering together to give thanks to God with prayers and hymns for the many blessings we have received in our lives,” said The Reverend Gina Walsh-Minor, Rector Trinity Episcopal Church. “At Trinity, we are especially thankful for being able to return to our church building after the severe floods from hurricane Irene,” Mother Gina continued. The service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, at the corner of North and Forest Avenues in Cranford.

The Cranford Clergy Council consists of clergy persons serving faith communities with congregations in the Cranford Area, who choose to associate with one another for purposes of fostering understanding, establishing mutual support, increasing awareness of issues, and making appropriate programs available to the community. Members come from the following faith communities: First Baptist Church, St. Mark AME Church, First Presbyterian Church, Temple Beth-El Mekor Chayim, Cranford United Methodist Church, St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Calvary Lutheran Church, Oscelola Presbyterian Church, and Trinity Episcopal Church. The Cranford Interfaith Human Relations Committee is composed of lay members of Cranford’s various houses of worship that work with the Clergy Council. Members of the Committee help plan and coordinate the service, which will include performances by the choirs of the faith communities represented on the Council.
