Trinity Cranford “Clean Water” Fundraiser thru April 2nd

Trinity is collecting money for the ERD "Clean Water" program that constructs wells to promote overall health to those in need worldwide

Trinity Episcopal Church,119 Forest Avenue, Cranford, New Jersey is collecting money for the Episcopal Relief & Development “Clean Water” program through April 2, 2017. Water is essential for life. Unfortunately, in many places around the world, the fresh water supply is threatened by various pollutants, climate change and disasters. “Every 15 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease somewhere in the world,” said Marion Necuta, Trinity’s Outreach Committee Chairwoman. “The ERD Clean Water program constructs wells, waters systems, and stations that both reduce the spread of disease while promoting overall community health, well-being, and economic viability,” she continued. Trinity Cranford is collecting monies toward the building of a well somewhere in Zambia, Nicaragua, or the Philippines this year. Donations, made payable to “Episcopal Relief and Development”, can be mailed to Trinity Church, 119 Forest Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016 or dropped off at the church on Sunday mornings. “Please help us support this gift of life to those in need,” said Mrs. Necuta. Episcopal Relief & Development, started in 1940, is the compassionate response of The Episcopal Church to human suffering in the world. Hearing God's call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being, Episcopal Relief & Development serves to bring together the generosity of Episcopalians and others with the needs of the world. The ERD mandate comes from comes from Jesus' words found in Matthew 25: ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’
