WESTFIELD AREA Y OFFERS NEW CPR/AED & BASIC FIRST AID CERTIFICATION COURSES TO HELP YOU BE A LIFE SAVER

The Westfield Area Y is proud to announce new CPR/AED & Basic First Aid Certification Courses to help you be a life saver at the Main Y facility, 220 Clark Street in Westfield.

The course is open to members and the community ages 13 and up. Participants will learn how to be prepared to help a friend, neighbor or loved one when it really counts.

This training will help participants handle the most common illnesses and injuries such as how to:

Find out what's happening in Cranfordfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

· Identify signs of a heart attack

· Help a choking child

Find out what's happening in Cranfordfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

· Act if adult slurs their speech

· Recognize signs of poisoning

· Stop severe bleeding

Participants will receive a two-year certification in CPR/AED and Basic First Aid.

The course is offered on the following dates and times:

  • Saturday, March 21st, 7:00 am – Noon
  • Saturday, March 28th, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 15th, 10:30 am – 3:30 pm
