WESTFIELD AREA Y'S PARKINSON'S OPEN HOUSE A SUCCESS

The Westfield Area Y recently celebrated its 3rd Anniversary of the “Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms” program with an Open House held at the Main Y facility. Over 35 people attended.

Research has shown that physical exercise has positive and measurable benefits for those living with Parkinson’s. The Y has implemented this unique program that incorporates strength, flexibility, balance and cardiovascular exercises. These exercises can help soothe tremors, improve posture, smooth steps and increase overall well-being.

Spring registration is going on now can be done for members online at www.westfieldynj.org or in person at the Welcome Center at the Main Y Facility. Please contact Jean White at (908) 233-2700 x246 or email jwhite@westfieldynj.org with questions.
