Cook Healthy Food On A Budget With East Brunswick Library
The East Brunswick Public Library is conducting a nutrition workshop to help participants learn how to purchase nutritious food on a budget.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Buying healthy food can seem like a daunting task, what with the cost of fresh produce increasing since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But one can still cook up a health meal on a budget with a little help on smart purchasing.
The East Brunswick Public Library is conducting a nutrition workshop titled “Cooking Matters at the Store.” The workshop is part of the library's “Just for the Health of It!” initiative.
In this workshop, SNAP-Ed nutrition educators will help participants learn how to purchase nutritious food through different sections of the grocery store, while on a budget.
