East Brunswick Library and NAMI New Jersey Team Up This January

The goal of "In Our Own Voice" is to help reduce the discrimination often faced by people who deal with mental health illnesses and issues.

In order to combat the stigma of mental health, East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) is teaming up with NAMI New Jersey to offer the insightful “In Our Own Voice” program at the library on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 7:00 pm.

Developed by NAMI New Jersey, this program features individuals with various mental health conditions giving presentations about their illness and recovery. “In Our Own Voice” is a powerful tool for community education and reducing stigma by putting a human face on an often misunderstood area of human suffering.

The goal of “In Our Own Voice” is to help reduce the discrimination often faced by people who deal with mental health illnesses and issues, those who care about them and those who care for them.
